Hello! I'm Kathy Hyde - a Photographer, poet, and abstract thinker native to Brooklyn, NY. I was always a strangely creative kid and when I was 10 years old my father gave me an old Minolta 35mm camera for my birthday. At the time I was already sculpting, writing poetry, and short stories and photography quickly became another passion. Just as writing helped me learn more about myself by seeing my thoughts spelled out, photography allowed me an avenue of expression without words. The world is not always pretty, and I fell in love with capturing the juxtaposition of beautiful skyscapes framed by gritty urban structures or piles of trash invading nature scenes.
